Ashanti Region Tops 2015 Annual Performance Evaluation Of MMDAs

Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly (MMA) has emerged as the top-performing Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assembly (MMDA) in the 2015 annual performance evaluation, according to the Local Government Service Performance Management System (PMS). The system aims to improve performance by developing individuals and institutions to enhance productivity, in line with section 6(e) of the Local Government Service Act.

The performance evaluation for 2015 was based on planned achievement of indicators in key performance areas, as outlined in Performance Contracts (PCs) signed between Honourable Regional Ministers and their Regional Coordinating Directors, as well as between Honourable Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives and their Metropolitan, Municipal and District Coordinating Directors.

Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly’s performance was found to be the highest among the 216 MMDAs assessed. The assembly’s success is attributed to its commitment to achieving its objectives and indicators within a given timeframe, as set out in the Performance Management Instruments (Contract & Appraisal).

The success of Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of its employees, who have worked tirelessly to improve productivity and enhance service delivery.
