Hon Simon Osei-Mensah, the Ashanti Regional Minister pays a visit to the Wynca Sunshine Agric Products and Trading Company Limited on Thursday, 9th November 2023.
The purpose of this visit was to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products and services, assess its role in the local agricultural sector, and explore avenues for collaboration and support.
Wynca Sunshine Agric Products and Trading Company Limited is a prominent agribusiness enterprise firmly entrenched in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. The company is engaged in the production, distribution, and trading of agricultural inputs, as well as the processing of agricultural products.

Since 2009, Wynca Sunshine has played significant role in Ghana’s agriculture and has become the root of Ghana’s Pesticide Industry. Wynca Sunshine is now synonymous to quality and affordable “GLYPHOSATE” in Ghana.
In 2011, the company invested US$ 6.5 million into an ultra-modern glyphosate formulation plant on a 42-acre land at Boankra in the Ashanti region and produces glyphosates and other pesticide products for farmers not only in Ghana but also others in the West African sub-region Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and Mali.
Wynca Sunshine is not only committed to the supply of quality agro-inputs but also gives back to Ghanaian farmers the best of other input services. For instance, Wynca Sunshine in 2022 donated items worth GH¢126,040.00 to the Ministry of Food & Agriculture in support of the 38th National Farmers’ Day celebration which was held in Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
Additionally, the company has consistently supported the National Farmers Day and District/ Municipal Assemblies with 100,000 Cedis and 50,000 Cedis respectively for the past ten years.
This visit by the Ashanti Regional Minister underscores the significance of recognizing and strengthening local agribusinesses in the region.
The visit to Wynca Sunshine Agric Products and Trading Company Limited had the following objectives.
Facility Tour, The Ashanti Regional Minister and accompanying officials embarked on an extensive tour of the company’s facilities, which encompassed production units, warehouses, and processing plants. This provided an invaluable glimpse into the company’s operations and capabilities.
Also, Product Showcase, Wynca Sunshine Agric Products and Trading Company Limited offered an impressive showcase of its agricultural products, including fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, and a range of processed agricultural goods. The Minister had the opportunity to personally inspect the quality and diversity of these products.
