Accra – Wednesday September 28, 2022: Officials of the Japanese Graduate Schools (JGS) have engaged staff of the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) on educational opportunities under the 2023 Human Resource Development Scholarship (HRDS) programme.
The JGS scholarship programme is an initiative of the Japanese Government that provides funding for human capital development of organisations in Ghana to support the formulation and implementation of social and economic policies for the development of the country.
The Head of the Local Government Service, Ing. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur, who was in attendance, expressed gratitude to the JGS team for the continuous collaboration with the Service to ensure the professional development of staff.
He encouraged staff to make the most of the scholarship opportunities to build a career in the public service. Indeed, he was hopeful that a lot more staff will benefit from the JGS programme.
